well good news....the hc1800 IS installed i have pics but i do have a ? for you guys with the hc1800 were you able to use your oem battery holders? i had to remove my battery box and use a template figs made for me along time ago...thus losing my battery holder (this is only temporary till i figure out a solution)i will show you what i mean when i upload the pics.

BTW i have pics proving the HC2400 WILL FIT,you will have a little issue with the terminals but it is a simple fix just like it was on the HC1800. i mounted it (again using the battery tray i had figs make me) and everything was perfect. i wish NOW i would have ordered the hc2400.... anyone wanna buy a half a day old hc1800 or trade me mine + cash for a hc2400?

again i DO have pics (although if you know me, you know it will take me a min to get the pics uploaded as my personal life is crazy busy) i will try to get them soon for the naysayers but i will say it again, the HC2400 IS DOABLE under hood on our car

wider/taller/thicker

the hc1800 is 10"x6.5"x8.2"
the hc2400 is 13"x6.7"x8.5"

im using a Stinger HPM Ring Battery Terminal SPT53R or this one

so i have no issues with the terminals on the sides....i really wish i would just bought the damn hc2400 like i had wanted to

post the pics man. and how much would you want for the 1800? i need one right now!

also. idk if the 2400 would fit man. you said you did the testing so i guess youd know better. but if the 1800 posts BARELY fit when the hood is closed, then what are the chances that the 2400s will fit with the hood closed if its like an extra inch taller.

I want what i paid for it....why would i take any less?

well...as i said i know it will fit, i measured it, mounted it and took pics. i will get them up when i get a min, i really think the key to it fitting is that i removed my OEM battery box and am using the battery spacer figs made me. i really need to do something about the mounts though.

im running the soft aluminum ones underhood (they suck BTW i would prefer something not so brittle) but in the trunk im running these ones i prefer...

although these should be easy to use

no i said im using those in my trunk on my hc2400 battery

as promised here are the pics...

as i said i had figs month ago make me a battery tray i been using on my yellow top optima but with the battery tray removed it fits the hc2400/hc1800 perfectly

i didnt snap a pic with the posts on (i thought i did but i guess not) but if you look at the pics of my HC1800 mounted with the posts and stinger terminals on you'll see they come up to the same height. i did mount the posts/stinger terminals onto the old hc2400 (which does measure the same height as the new version of the hc2400) and it fit fine also....as i said i wish i had ordered a hc2400 i still might.

the old HC2400

and on top of my new HC1800

Battery box completely removed

Battery tray i had FIGS make for me months ago to use with my yellow top

Old Kinetik HC2400 Battery Mounted Underhood

and FINALLY pics of a HC1800 mounted underhood, with the FIGS battery tray i dont hit the hood at all. i just need to come up with a way to secure the battery now

to late man, i found a local member who wants it which works out well for me, no shipping.

im gonna either buy a HC2400 with the KMS-24 kinetik battery box for $329.95 shipped or just a bare HC2400 without the battery box for $304 shipped. im fairly certain im gonna get the battery box though and remove the FIGS battery spacer this way i can run the HC2400 and the battery box made for it. i might mig weld it down instead of strapping the battery box in but i still need to figure out how to run a battery mount on it.

after looking at some figures and prices im now currently thinking about getting the monster KHC3800 battery. Buying that one and swapping my HC2400 in the trunk to underhood. its only $399.99 shipped so its ONLY a $100 more than the 2nd HC2400 and its got a whopping 3800 watts of massive power

i may end up with a HC2400 underhood and a HC3800 in the trunk hahaha...im sick i know
