ive ran straight pipe + cats on an Sc4 and it sounded really mean. only downside is that its loud... duh.. and the drone is pretty bad. for example on warm ups the drone would be so loud that u cant have a normal conversation without raising your voice.. and even after raising your voice its still hard to understand.
its also raspy higher RPMs so mufflers would help a ton.

I have posted up a video on here with no exhaust after the cats and really it sounds pretty good. It was disconnected halfway down the length of the car so the drone was pretty obnoxious. The loud exhaust was fun for a few trips around the block before the new catback went on, but that was about it.

I can't believe what I am seeing! CL has got young! Please don't run your high end sedan without mufflers! There are many cheap options out there that will give you better performance and sound. I had two borla proXS mufflers and 2 1/2"piping from the cats back and the whole set up cost me $225 installed. Got both mufflers on eBay for $125 and $100 to have them welded up including the pipe. You drive a Lexus not a 67 Chevy!

I ran straight pipes before on my 95 M3. Did not notice any significant power increase. It sounded like a monster, turned heads, and invited way more challengers on the road than before. After about a month it got old really quick. I don't recommend it.
