Nice car, whats the maintence on one of those?
More than you can afford pal...MASERATI.

haha, but I'd definitiely go for a GT-R or IS-F. I hate to say it but I like the GT-R better

That's an awesome car man, I've consider buying a Maserati myself, but I do too, think it costs way too much for maintenance. however, if you can afford the maintenance, go for it! Like some have said, owning a Maserati is an experience of its own. Whichever decision you make, I'm sure it'll be the right one.

Later!

I too have been looking into buying a new car right around the price range you are looking at. I did run across those maseratis and thought about it and wrote it off because of reliability. Some of the other cars I have also considered a C6 vette, *55 AMG, low 2k Viper, and a Terminator. Well after much deliberation I have settled on the Termi. I chose it because I can easly afford it and it can be almost everthing I want it to be. It might not be your cup of tea but maybe some of those other cars might be worth a gander at.

It is more than the norm, but not quite 2800 for an oil change. Alot less.

Ehh...I would just stay with ol' reliable, if I were you.

I don't think that Maserati is anything special.

I'm sure he's made his mind up by now, but stay away. I used to work at a (legit) import car dealership, they stayed away from them. No resale value, extremely high maintenance, not very reliable. Stick with Toyota/Lexus IMHO.

Thumbs up

well dude there are a few things that go into decideing if u want that maserati
1 is that are u looking for a daily driver because if u are then that would be the last thing on my list for daily driving i would go for something that is a little more easy and cheap to maintain and doesn't use as much gas as a humvee
2 is that that car is going to be uncomfortable on any type of long distance
3 is that there are going to be alot of haters out there that are going to key your car or put gum on it (trust me i have experiane)
4 is that the maserati is also very expensive and in my opinion, its not the nicest looking maserati out there, i prefer the quattroporte

if you have some money kicking aroung go for something a little less italian like the GTR: or you can go for supreme luxery and get something like the ls460 or ls460h and still be in the lexus family
if its something like speed that you are looking for that you can drive everyday i would go for the is-f or like u said an amg or m-power sedan
hope that helps

After more researching, I did decide against the Maserati. Actually decided against a new (used) car altogether. (If I was to proceed, though, I would NOT go Italian or German.) IS-F and GT-R are still too rich for my blood. So I dunno... Lotus Elise? IS350?

I had to ask myself where I want to be in five years...

So I'll stick a couple thousand into maintaining/tweaking my GS400 and call 'er a day. It is a Lexus, it does have over 300hp...I need to be content at some point! When I can rip from 0 to 60 in about five seconds, I'm good. Just need a torque converter, headers, and an AFC tune and I'll be close enough. Time for some family vacations, maybe a cottage? Build a house? I dunno...gettin' older I guess!

Glad to see you made the right decision.
