Default Gs300 wont start properly

Hey guys i have 2003 gs300 with about 84000 miles on it. ever since i bought this car i have this problem where the engine will keep cranking and not come on. then i have to continously turn the key and press the gas while the car is cranking for it to turn on. I replaced my throttle body spark plugs and alternator in the past and it seemed to have fixed the problem for a while. Now it is doing the same thing occasionaly especially when i park it in my parking structure at work under ground. i copied a link from another member that had the same problem.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fJvG6YLcbk

Please let me know if you have had the same problem or know the solution. Thanks in advance for your time

Try replacing the MAF sensor. I had really crappy performance, and the light never came on. At advance auto parts you can buy and try there. If it dosnt work, bring it back in and return it. If it does, its only $70.

+1..also check your starter...or you might have a loose wire somewhere between the alternator and starter or ignition system...

Fuel pump. The MAF has a dual element. If one of the elements goes bad, the other should take over and throw a code.

A bad starter will just "click" and not crank the car. If it's doing the same thing on the video, then it's cranking, but not providing enough fuel to the engine. Or any fuel.

What gas are you running? The cheaper brands of 93/92 octane took out my pump.

I always run premium from chevron or 76 but then again iono what the previous owner ran. No codes come up either and it only does it once in a while. the sound is exactly the same as in the video. so it could be both the fuel pump and maf?

MAF will usually pop a code. Fuel pump doesn't. It *might* pop a "lean" code, but not always.

Get the fuel pump checked.

My car did the same thing a few months ago. It was the fuel pump. I had an aftermarket one installed and the vendor that installed it didn't solder the wires properly so it came loose. It would turn over and not start...

Sound like an IAC valve to me. The use of your foot on the gas is an indicator.

Could it be the TPS? err (EDIT)..cant be that.as the car should still be able to idle...
Try the IACV.
