Default Oil Pan Leak, Help! Gasket maybe?

I noticed the low oil light came on and went off and my oil was indeed low. I saw that I have a slow leak (now a drip every few seconds). It appears to be coming from the oil pan gasket. Perhaps I may have shifted the oil pan driving over something a few weeks ago. I do remember driving over a curb and hearing it .

If it's this, how much will it cost me at a shop for them to replace this gasket seal??

Any help or additional thoughts would be great, thanks in advance...

Oh and it's a 1998 GS400 with about 150k miles

the pan itself is leaking like theres a hole or just the gasket area is leaking??

Get under the car n double check. if its just the gasket then u can replace that easily. if the pan is bad then ude have to buy a new one or repair it.

yeah I don't think the pan itself is ruptured or anything. It seems to be leaking from the seal area... Not sure I feel like doing it myself so how much do you think a shop will charge me for that?

It may be dripping off the oil pan but you may want to verify where the leak is coming from.

Maybe tell your mechanic not to reseal the oil pan but to identify where the leak is coming from. It can be valve cover gaskets, cam seals, crank seal or VVT pulleys

It would suck to shell out $400 to reseal a good oil pan and still have a leak.
Oh by the way there are 2 oil pans.

good luck

Oh yeah definitely, my mechanic is ASE certified and trained thru Toyota so he knows his stuff... He is definitely not a dumb mechanic that would just fix that to have me complain about the leaking continuing later.
