When I go to Temecula/Murietta a lot of streets aren't there due to it being a newer area. Even if I did overpay, Im in love with the car so don't care. I plan on keeping it until it dies. Keep us updated.
Darn straight cash talks. I don't really care about navi because I've gotten used to using my navi on my phone which has gps. I probably would prefer a car that doesn't have an outdated navi.

I'm going to see what I can work out with that guy who owns the gray one. There's a 430 in SD with 115k for under 10k that I'm thinking about checking out but that's more than double the mileage of the other one. I might be jumping the gun a bit though because I still don't have my car sold yet

The silver one in SD is a scam, at least I think so. I was interested in that one. Its been for sale for almost 6 months now. The guy told me he bought it from the bank. He also wasn't negotiable at all. I think he buys and sells cars for a living because he has a few others on autotrader. Even though I have my GS im always looking for good deals, and frequent autotrader and craigslist. Im not sure how far your willing to go, but there is a clean 2002 GS430 in the bay area. Its gold with the chrome 17" rims and navigation. Has something like 53,000 miles for $13,500.

that is def reasonable expectations... but you have to be patient, willing to travel a bit and looking regularly...

In Feb, i bought my 01 430 67k mi for $12,300...it was about 2 hrs away but i also queried a GS4 in Boston, and another GS3 in Virginia around that price range... i also test drove an 03 430 5 mins from my house... it had only 25k miles on it but had some slight body damage and wouldn't budge on his 19k asking price...

i got lucky with my car because living in NJ, people are turned off by RWD cars with the snow here... and regular ppl think that V8 are gas guzzlers... the car sat on their lot for a few months before i came along... best of luck on your search... and how about a few pics of the SS??? :wish:

My co-worker has a Black 99 GS300 with 30k miles on it and the car is always garaged. Being the kind of guy he is, he has no intention to sell unless someone is willing to offer him the right price. I'd be curious how much people would be willing to pay for a car of this condition and low milage.

I bought my mom a 99 ES300 Black/Tan in pristine condition last year for $9k and it had about 10k miles on it but I know that was a steal though. She loves it.

The Gold one is on craigslist not autotrader. I talked to the person selling it. She sent me more pictures. It looks like its in good shape, but the leather is a little worn and there looks to be a few dings and scratches. I was thinking about it for myself since it has lower miles. I drive a lot so would be nice not to have so many miles.

like most of the other guys here are saying if you're coming from an impala that has decent power the gs300 is probably going to disappoint you. i just sold my teg 4 weeks ago that made about 350 to the wheels and picked up a gs300..needless to say i'm somewhat disappointed in performance. but it makes up in reliability and comfort and space.

if you keep looking you should be able to find a gs430 in your range. just gotta keep looking.

Most have been a quick little car!

I think you guys are right and I should eliminate the 300 because it's going to be tough stepping down from a V8.

im lovin mine, and i notice that finiding a 430 with low miles is getting harder just got very lucky on mine, old man owns it before, blk/blk. and we had a customer with gs400 and has 318,000 miles on it with original motor and transmission, he said regular maintenance does its job.
