Default Problems with leather seats

Does the 2GS have problems with leather seats cracking and splitting similar to those of the 2ES? Is this a Lexus issue overall?

I am looking into getting a 2GS and that is a major concern of mine.

my 2GS is 10yrs old, and does not have any major signs of wear other than that typical older leather look, u know the mini shallow "cracks". they don't bother me idk about you guys though haha

Those are just signs of real leather wear and tear over time, can be repaired easily with a DIY.

I would say that's a non issue. I've had a 98 seats were in perfect shape up to the day I sold (around 06) and my 01 now is in perfect shape. I live in Maryland and do not have a garage, so hot sun and bitter cold and it's still like new.

The leather is fine but the plastic piping cracks. Its not that big of a deal, you can barely notice it.
