or if im not getting another GS hahahai don't think you should take off all those items before the adjuster goes to see it. There really isn't any point. It's just creating more work for yourself. Just do what sakataj said. After the adjuster see's it, if you decide to not keep the car you'll have time to take all those parts off.
i would assume that would be illegal to just take them off after they adjuster comes out....
what i mean was get it appraised and if u like it take the price and try and buy car back and part it or take what u want.....

Yeah it doesnt matter when it comes to what parts your have and if you keep them or not.... they might give you 200 for a 1000 dollar item... and if you dont agree theirs nothing you can do... i had receipts for everything to determine the value of my car and they just went on craigslist and another place to see what of the same make and year and condition.... For a mint 98 GS400 fully modded 165k miles with 10k+ worth of aftermarket with receipts i got $9500 minus $3000 auction price if i decided to keep it which i did then i have a salvage car..... so i got 6500... i spent close to 2000 fixing my car..... tell them to give you 4000 and keep the clean title and you will fix it....

that sucks dude. that happened to me in june but i got sandwiched. glad to see your ok.
do they just total everything in cali?
when mine got hit i thought they were gonna total it but i compiled a list of everything on the car and gave it to my adjuster. he was like "damn". i told him i was just doing that so they wouldnt total it. he was like theres no way we will with a list like that. i have usaa insurance. my damage was buckled both rear quarters. rebuild front and rear bumpers, remake netz sport grill, new hood, repaint hood bumpers, grill surround, and rear quarters. it took 10k lbs of pull to get the drivers side rear quarter to relax. they paid out $4600 i forked out about the same out of pocket to do a down to metal repaint and body refreshing.
if you do end up having to part. if sakataj doesnt buy the sc hit me up. ill buy it.
