Driving slower wif MOD
hey guys.....
I been obeying all the speed limit on my mod GS after getting all the traffic tixs this year.....However, i noticed that when i drove my gf stock jagaur 4L S-type and benz C280, i found out that i felt really slow on a stock car when i was obeying the speed limit. I was driving faster with a stock car then my MOD GS....
I was wondering if you guys ever felt like this?.......when u switch from a MOD GS to a stock car, you tend to drive a little faster coz the car drives smoother without the susupension/coilover throwing you around, the exhaust screaming, the 20's rolling over holes on the road. Hence which makes you drive faster on a high end stock sedan coz its so freakin' smooth....
Its kinda funny to mod my GS to be able to drive faster but i seems to drive faster on a stock car......Although i have to agree that when i am driving at 120mph or taking a sharp turn....i would definitely feel safer on my mod GS then any stock car........
just sharing my thoughts

When I installed my Borlas I would drive faster to keep the RPMs above 2000 so that the resonance would not be so loud. Now that I have removed them, I never notice my RPMs.
We should start a thread that list the pros and cons of certain mods. I often see threads with someone saying "I just installed my new rims/exhaust/etc" and then a few days or weeks later you see another thread "My new rims are rubbing... My exhaust is too loud for my wife... My body kit is too low for my driveway... etc..."

Why has this not been done already? I mean, with all the mod-crazy members here there has to be alot of real world lessons that have been learned, which by all reason, should be shared with everyone else here at CL.
Anyone want to be the first to admit to a mod you wish you had not done? and why, what harm or ill effects are now happening on your GS?
My g4 is still stock, so I am very interested.....

Ok, I'll start it:
In my opinion: Borla exhaust have too much resonance for me between 1000 - 2000 RPM on GS300. (not sure about GS4+)
WIN Racing Body Kit (knockoff) plus L-tuned shocks and springs were too low to cross speed bumps at my daughter's school.
