Unhappy Bad News

My car suffered some serious injuries yesterday. I was driving in a 2 lane road when this mustang pulls up next to me and decides to come into my lane running me off the road O tried to avoid it by swerving around her becuase of the dirt on the edge of the road and me over correcting lost control and ran over the median and ended up on the other side of the road in the on-coming traffic lane. Nobody hit me and I still can't believe I am alive and scratch less.

Damage: No body damage, 3 bent rims 2 slashed tires and whatever damage underneath the car (hopefully it will get fixed before too long)

This stupid girls mistake could have killed me and others. GRRRR it makes me so mad.....

I need some help from you guys since I will get money from my insurance company for the rims and tires I want to get some rims that I want..... Here is the link to my Wheel Request.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=46855

all the help is appreciated.

damn i feel for you man, thank god you saw it and she didn't hit you at least. Did she stop or did she drive away? Did you get the plates? Either way sorry, and as for the rim thing, many of us will need a rough price range on the amount of $$$ you want to spend. Let us know how much insurance will give you for the rims and tires. Hopefully you can get some nice HRE's.

She drove away....I had witnesses who saw it happening so I hope that the Insurance company is a little sympathetic.

I am guessing that the insurance company will give me about 2000 - 2500 for new rims and tires and I can spend another 1000 from my pocket. So, I can spend about 3500 or so for tires and rims if I really like a rim and its very light I am willing to spend a little more. How much do the toyo S-1 usually cost 245 (19 x 8.5 in the front) and 275 (19 x 9.5 in the back)?

Thanks guys

That is true. If you can not prove someone else was liable for your damages, you are liable. Hopefully, you got a police report with the witnesses saying what happened, and your insurance company won't **** you! I would have let her hit me, but thats easy to say while I am at my desk typing! lol

Glad you are ok. Rims & tires can be replaced!

Yeah I have to pay a 500 dollar deductible. There were witnesses who told the officer that I was run off the road by the mustang. Thank god for that. But, since I am 22 and insurance is having to pay they will definetly raise my insurance....I was glad that no body got hurt too, I couldn't live with my self if I hurt someone even if it wasn't my fault directly.

Do you have Allstate? They have a one accident clause in most of their policies whereas, they will "forgive" one accident every 4 years, or something like that. Basically your insurance won't go up if there is only one accident per household in 3 years.

Default State Farm

I have state farm my dad has been with them for almost 8 years and I have been with them for 5 years. This will be our second claim the first one was only like 600 dollars about 2 years ago or so.......Hopefully they won't raise my insurance.

Glad your okay dude. State Farm is pretty damn fair, especially to older customers.

I did the same thing (running over the median) when I lost control of my car racing a M roadster. The GS is on tough SOB.

I'll call u later dude.

Good to hear your okay. I've been lucky myself several times. And guess what? They were all females. Lucky for me, there was never any car on either lane, so I had opportunities to change without hitting anyone. By the way, I have State Farms and I get all the hook-ups from them because one of my friends work there. I've hooked up several of my friends already and if anyone in the Los Angeles or Orange county wants discounts on there insurance, just PM me. For the record, I'm not advertising for State Farms, just want to hook up a fellow CL member.

Sorry to have heard what happen........Didn't you know that most women can't drive...LOL And as far as changing lanes.....that either. I would steer more towards some 19s or 20s.

Good luck!!!

I'm sorry about your car man, but I saw your car and it's not look so bad beside the rims. At least you're o.k. I noticed that you have a Kenwood DVD installed. I'll talk to you later
