O2 Sensor, Bank 2 Sensor 2 - P0161
Pulled a P0161 code and it's the O2 Sensor, bank 2 sensor 2. I searched but couldn't find the OEM part number for this sensor. Does anyone have it? The Denso part number is 234-4603.

Here take a look at this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...t-numbers.html
Sensors for your GS should be the same.

^^ This D.I.Y. is money. I used it to change out my bank 2 sensor 2. It was so easy. The only problem is that the 02 sensor is most likely going to be seized. The bung was ripped out lol, despite me soaking it in PB blaster. Called around, and a lot of places that do total car care said I need to replace the entire cat, or y pipe, or something crazy like that. Don't believe the hype. I went to some all exhaust place where they do welding. I had the bung re-welded for $20 bucks lol.
Just be prepared, but the D.I.Y. is really straight forward.
Also, don't worry about the part number, just call Car Parts Warehouse, there is one in San Diego, and just tell them you need bank 2 sensor 2. I got the OEM Denso plug and play from them for around $100. It beats the $350-400 parts and labor Lexus was wanting.

If you tried removing the old O2 sensor when the exhaust pipe is semi-hot/warm...it will be easier to remove. Once the pipe is cold or cooled too much...it'll be tough to remove.

Thanks cpmd for the useful info. I'll call the warehouse and not worry about the part number. Hopefully mine will be easier to get out, but unlikely so it's nice to know about your backup plan.

You can get to it w.o having the car lifted. But if you have access to a lift, it might be beneficial GL with it

Code 0161
I have the same issue. I bought the sensor for Bank2 Sensor2. The only concern I have is when you look under the car you can see three O2 sensors. I have been told that it is the one behind the cat, I see that one and one a few feet down the exhaust that goes into the passenger floor board. So my question is, which one is it? The one that goes through the floorboard or the one thats right behind the cat.
Thanks

Bank 2 Sensor 2
So I own a 2001 IS300 and I'm confused as to which cylinders bank 2 sensor 2 goes with, Any info? Is this the one before or after the catalyst? (Towards the front or rear of the car)
