Default Tire size advice

Howzit,

Getting ready to pull the trigger on staggered wheels. Leaning toward Ruff R280 in chrome. Fronts are 18 X 8.5/rear 18 X 9.5. The supplier insists the front tires should be 40 series and rear 35.

For a stretched look I think I want 225/35 front & 255/35 rear. Should I run 40 series in the front for a more kush ride?

Mahalo for your comments.

Is your car dropped/lowered? If you're not, your ride might look weird with the low profile tires because your car will have a big gap.
I don't think you will get the stretched look with those sizes and widths. Do you want a stretch for looks or for clearance?

With 18's, you should go with 40 series.

I'm lowered on coilovers. The tire stretch would be for clearance. They originally wanted to put 245/40 front & 275/35 rear. I'm not sure if I would have fender rubbing going on with those sizes.

You should consider offset if you are worried about rubbing more so than tire size.

you are in hawaii.... Dont run those wheels.. you have shops out there with amazing looking cars.

they will be sunk. message rev01 i believe. just do a little research on the wheels you want.

what suspension are you on or planning on running ? all good questions. also Never run the suggestion from the dealer if you want to have good wheels . they are Never going to be what you want. run 350z wheel sizes more aggressive for when you lower you car better fitment, just little help
