OEM HID question
Does anyone here know if it is possible to install OEM GS HID housings onto a car that came with Halogen housings??? I checked the threads but I couldnt get a definitive answer. I called my local dealer and they said that it's impossible becuase of the wiring harnesses. Can someone please let me know if they have any experience in this. If so, how complex is this installation? Thanks.
P.s. I dont want to do a traditional hid conversion kit because i'm trying to attain a correct non-glare beam pattern.

Nothing is impossible, especially something as simple as a wiring harness. Hell it is even possible to install autolevelling into a non-OEM HID car. Very, very hard and expensive, but nonetheless very possible.

lex400sc, you touched on what I was thinking. The autoleveling feature. If you change the housing to the OEM HID on a halogen equipped GS then you won't have the ability to autolevel so you won't be able to adjust your headlights. It could be done, but very pricey I'm sure.
I thought about changing my RX lenses over to HID RX lenses but then I wouldn't be able to adjust the height of the lights - so I'm sticking with the stock lenses and aftermarket Stage I HID's. That way I can aim them properly...at a reasonable price
