Default Hello Club Lexus

Just purchased me a new 2000 Gs 300 with 66000 miles
just was wondering if i got a good deal or not...
ive been looking for one for the longest time and when i saw this color scheme and mileage i knew i had to have it.
Black with Black leather.
bought it for 114000 before taxes and fees and bull****
but
it sounds like the back right and maby the left are out cause they make this load thumping sound.
and the display on the radio is not perfect, some of the dots/lines are out and messed up.
and it looks like it had kids in the back seat...
ohh and no floor mats..
and one key not sure if thats how it comes new...?

tell what you think...
just glad to be a father of a Lexus now

ohhh and i was wondering if i should get this warranty that they are offering me for... 2300 for 4years or 50000 miles???

Welcome!

I definetely would like to see some pics before I can say if you got a deal or not. Some of the stuff you mention seems minor to me. Although am not clear on what makes the thumping sound?? On the key, I received a master key and valet parking key. Maybe they lost the valet parking key, who knows??

Yikes, $11,400 for a car thats gonna be 10 yrs old in a few days?

im pretty sure it's 10 already anyway. If anything I would have gotten the V8 for that $ but thats just me...

but I think you could have gotten that car for no more than 9K
Granted it has low miles, I still think you could have gotten an 01.
but how much was the price originally? Im hoping you didn't take the initial price that they had posted up.

BUT ahh well never mind all that! What's done is done, your one of us now!!!
You will be spendin stacks upon stacks on mods pretty soon.
Black on Black is great.

Get pics soon

ive been looking for a GS or an RL for about 3-4 months now and this is the best deal that came along.
the podunk dealership had it posted for 13400 then he offered me 12400 and i got it down to 11400.
where i live there are no gs300 and they are all from dealerships.
no one smart person wants to sells these cars apparently hhaa

its not really a thumping sound, its whenever i hit like a drain pipe lid thing or just a fat bump in the road it makes like a empty sound, idk hard to explain but im playing on getting coils asap so not really worried about the suspension and playing on gettin a new deck also.

ill get some pics later today when it stops raining for sure

Welcome to CL! I think you paid a bit much, but there isn't anything you can do about it now. I would NOT get the warranty, as there aren't many problems with these cars. Also, your thumping noise maybe be caused my blown struts. Looks like now is a good time to get some coilovers. And def. get the 90k service done and check the ball joints asap!

Welcome to CL, and congrats on the purchase. As far as getting a good deal or not, well, you were kind of limited by your circumstances since there were no private sellers. Regarding the warranty, I wouldn't get it, especially with those low miles on the car (besides, that's way too much for a warranty!!!). But I would do the 90k service due to the age of the car, even though you aren't close to 90k on the odometer.
