Default Opinions on purchase of 03 gs430

Hey fellas,
I've been lurking on these forums for the past couple months. I finally found one that I might pull the trigger on. Here's some details:
2003 GS430 black/tan
1 owner
Clean title/no accidents
50k miles
Woodgrain steering wheel + Navi
Price 17k

Or, also found
2003 Gs430 black/blac
1 owner
clean title/no accidents
76k miles
Woodgrain steering wheel + Navi
Price 18k

I would much rather have black interior, but I just wanted to ask: would you be willing to pay an extra 1k for black interior with 26,000 more miles or should I just bite the bullet on the black/tan? If you guys have any pictures of tan interior that be great too. Thanks CL.

Try to make a deal for the black on black and use the one with tan as a reference. You definitely should pay less for more mileage. As for my personal preference, I got black interior on my black cherry GS3. I liked the tan I had with my Green 98 GS3 as it was very light and uplifting I thought. However, black doesn't show as much wear it seems over the long haul. Also, it's very elegant, especially with black on black. I think I would go for grey with the next one.

It does take a little care but it is not really that hard, unless you are a slob in the car.

I paid $18,000 for my 2002 black/black GS430 about 4 months back, and it had 80k miles. It took me 6 months to find one, so I was fine with spending the extra money. Mileage wouldn't be a concern for me just as long as it was well maintained. Are you in So Cal or Nor Cal? These were nearly impossible to find in So Cal a few months back.

Seems a little rich

Gs430 were like 46K new maybe 50k with options
18/50 = 36% of full retail or 63% depreciation over 6-7 years

The black / tan combo is a better deal. The car has 25k less miles or 2yrs of normal use.
From the hip I would expect car #1 to be 15-17k and #2 to be 13-15k

I'm from Socal. Turns out the black one's been repainted for some reason. I took my friend who does autobody to check it out and he said it's been resprayed

So now, I'm gunning for the black/tan one. If everything turns out ok tonight I'll be very happy

I'll keep you all posted. And thanks everyone who replied/provided input!

Wow all three of us are looking for GS430s in SoCal! I was going to go and check out that same black and tan that you looked at today dpgc562 and you saved me the trip of seeing it. I'm looking for something in really good condition and I'm not willing to compromise. There was a CPO black/tan 04 w/ 40k on it with Lexus extended warranty that just sold for under 20k in Scottsdale that I really wanted but I slept on it so the search continues. Good luck guys. Where are you guys finding these cars? I haven't found any cars with low miles other than that one dpgc was gonna look at in a while.

Yeah I know. I'm so close to going out to Arizona to pick up this silver one with 96k on it that looks nice in pics but I keep thinking about how I JUST sold a car with 98k miles on it so why would I go out and buy something with the same mileage?
