Thumbs up

I just saw a new SC430 and I HAD to come here and write about it. OMG, it's gorgeous. It's just a beautiful looking car. This is the first one that I've seen driving around!! It was silver and had the top up. The size is kinda small but I like it. It's extremely curvy which looks DOPE!! It looks like it rides very nice and it seemed to have a GREAT deal of power. There was an older woman who was at the wheel who had a led foot, which I enjoyed! One of the things I liked was that I believe I saw a BIG CHROME "L" on the back just under the headrest of the front seats?!?!?! It was NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE.... I think I want one!!...

Talking YEA!

Hell ya!

I love that car... funny thing too.. the person driving it here on guam was an old lady with a leadfoot syndrome too! I'll just wait till i can actually afford one of those babies... but still.. i'd like to fix it up more... needs new rims.. and some dynaudio speakers... I'd like to get that white/silverish glow on the instrument panel...can we convert the GS to that? anywhayze... I'm just dreaming...

Great looking car, but putting in rear 'seats' was a really bad idea. They're a joke.

Bit,
I agree about the rear seats being a joke!! I think it would be nicer if it was like a Vette with just two seats!! Oh well........

Harrier,
I saw this SC430 cruising down Goldenwest St. in Huntington Beach, CA.... The lady had a DST (distributor) plate on so that's prolly how she got the car so soon!...

I would love to put some 20's on that bi**h and put in some bass!! Awww, I'm getting that happy feeling! I think I need to get one!! LOL

Thumbs up it is a beauty

i saw the SC430 at the LA auto show this Jan..

for the first time in my life, i actually paid more attention to the car than the girl who was introducing the SC. this just show you how impressed i was-especially when she took off her top(no punt intended); i mean the SC430.

one of the local dealers invire me this week to join them for a formal intro of the car and a test drive. free food and a test drive with a beauty, i will be there.

the reason the sc430 has 2 seats behind the front 2 is for insurance purposes. insurance will cost less for a 2+2 car than a 2 seater which is pretty considerate of lexus to think of their customers and trying to save them money. i think that the 2 extra seats can serve as extra trunk space.

Default insurance

That might be a factor on a Mitsubishi Eclipse owner, but not a $60K convertible roadster.

The last generation Z had it right - they offered it in 2+2 or 2 seat versions.

The space occupied by the rear 'seats' on the SC430 could be used more effectively.

Is the SLK a 2+2? (Probably its closest competitor) I don't think so. Is the Corvette? No. Is the Boxter? No.

I think they should dump the rear seats.

Talking SC 430

P-R-E-S-E-N-C-E! That would sum up the SC 430 in person. I saw a metallic plum pearl w/ cream interior at the Dallas auto show last year. And a couple of weeks ago I actually sat in it  when it made a stop at Park Place Lexus for a few days! My salesman was kind enough to give me a buzz. My partner can't wait for his! silver w/ black interior! He put a deposit down way back when it was first announced. I'll be sure and post my complete driving impression when he gets it this Spring.

I just saw the SC430 in the service bay at Rallye Lexus with the dash apart above the steering wheel. They were installing a radar detector for the owner. Car definitely gets your eye. VIN # ended with 1503, thought the number might be lower but I guess Lexus is pumping as many of these as they can out to meet demand. Car was red with black interior, loaded. Rims stink but the 18" is a step up for Lexus, maybe they'll offer that as an option on the GS and then L-Tune to 19" instead of the current options. Back seats are funny though, good for a cooler and some luguage. Have to save the insurance $$ for owners I guess. Nice car overall.
