yea, i've had the same problem with my 01 GS3 since day 1. I've learned to live with it, i just step on the gas gently when i get going. My mom who recently drove the car for her first time over the weekend came home with a WTF is wrong wit your car look on her face. She was dissapointed to find out that a 40K luxuary car would do that, but hey..i love my car and the little hesitation is not reason enuff for me to sell my car.

VVT-i:
could this happen to GS300 even you push the pedal slowly? (not flooring it)

My GS430 does the same thing and it is normal. Because your car has a drive by wire system. When you floor it the accelerator pedal position sensor have to comunicate with ECM, Vehicle Skip Control ECU and all the speed sensor before it give an o.k to the throttle motor. All whole thing will take about 1 second which is very fast considering for all the comunication the ECM have to makes.
