Default Cal GS owners with Clear side markers.....

Hey guys,

Is it really illegal for us to have the clear side markers with white bulbs in it? If I install the after market clear side markers, do you guys think I should also install the orange bulbs that come with the clear side markers?

If the orange bulbs are not necessary to have, what kind of white bulbs would you guys recommend to use besides the stock bulbs?

Thanks for your input.....

I'm from a strict part of NY and they really don't get on your case about it. FOr better look go for the hyperwhites, for safety go for amber bulbs.
if you want some nice hyperwhite bulbs here are 2 god ones:
1. Piaa Hyperwhite 194's (I have them if you need 2) PM me
2. Polarg M4 194's

Both are very similar to a white light.

I don't know about the legality issues, but if you are concerned over such things I would suggest getting some yellow or orange LED bulbs. They look clear when they're not turned on, so your clear lenses will look clean when your car is just sitting there, but when they are on, they shine yellow/orange to keep you legal.

Thanks guys. I just ordered the clear side marker today. I am still debating if I should risk the hassle from the FiveO and get the hyper white bulb as most of you have suggested.

Any disadvantage of just using my stock bulbs since they are white?

Hummm..... I am still waiting for some response from my Cali-brothas.......

Any modification that is different than stock is illegal which includes intake, exhausts, light, lowering, and etc. If you are really and I mean really concern about getting caught, by all mean, don't do it.

I live in Los Angeles.
