Does a 98' GS300 that is equipped with Nakimichi automatically come with HID headlights? According to 98' Consumer Giude it says that buying the Nak($6015) from Lexus includes the Premium package(which includes HID)/heated seats, but I am still not sure on this can anyone confirm if that only applies to the GS400 or both?

Look on lexus.com under CPO and then model library. It will show you the option and option packages avaiable for a '98 GS300. It appears HID's were available as an individual option, not in an option package.

Apparently Nak comes standard with HID from 99' on, but in 98' it was an individual option. Just go to Ebay and buy the Hella Blue HID kit. They sell for around $350-$400 & a few members have them. I have been thinking about getting those particular HID's myself. You may even like the color it gives off better than the OEM HID. To see what the color looks like search LXOGOOD's posts(or gallery).

The reason why I asked the question was because I am very close to buying this 98' Spectra Blue GS300 with Nakamichi. It has 56,000 miles & the price is $22,000(+Tax). What do you guys think? Is this a good deal or should I hold out for a better deal?
Thanks ARB

Sounds like a good deal.
Does it have all service records?
If not, you can take the VIN to any Lexus dealer and they will run a complete service history on the car. Only the service that was done at a Lexus dealer of course. THe blue in a rare color. I looked for a very long time trying to find a blue with nav to no avail.

ARB,
This sounds like a good deal to me.
Also, it's great that it comes with Nakamichi,
believe me you will love the sound of that
system. And if you don't, you can take it out
and sell it. It's a good system so you will not
have any problems selling it either.
Regards.

Thanks for the input guys. Carfax comes up totally clean which assures me only that I should further pursue the vehicle, not to buy it. I am having a Company called Autocritic go and inspect the car for me to make sure all is good mechanically & Aesthetically. They charge $130 but they will actually drive to the dealership and perform a 130 point inspection on the car & let me know of any immediate repairs(within 6 months). BTW the car is out of state.
