Start off by checking your gas cap to see if its on tight.

the vsc changes your driving, check your o2 sensors, mines came on with the vsc and the check engine, turns out it was the o2 sensor. but your check engine didn't come on so yeah idk try it though.

Trying to figure out the same myself...
GO to an AutoZone and have the code pulled that's triggering the CE light. Search the code on here.
Mine's a P1349 if I remember right...I think its my oil control valve. Or its filter, but I may not have a filter on my 400, not sure yet... Digging into mine on Monday.
The plan:
1. Run 1/3 can of Seafoam through the crankcase, drive 50 miles or so and change the oil. Pull the oil control valve and clean it. Pull negative battery cable, eat lunch, and reconnect/drive to see if CE light returns. Should cost me $30. If not fixed...
2. Order an oil filter screen from Lexus (~$8) and replace. Complicated replacement on the 4.0 V8 involving bearing cap removal. If not fixed...
3. Order a new oil control valve ($~120?) for Carson and replace. If not fixed...
4. Dealership.
