Layering tint is perfectly fine, you won't notice a difference. I had 20% back in the day and wanted 5%, just threw another layer of 20% on top of it and it did the job fine. Will that solve the green problem? Probably not, just get some Windex (or any glass cleaner...) and a razor blade and have about 1 hour to spare. Just be careful for the defrost on the back window.

Many people layer tint with no problems, just depends how good the tinter does his job. It will not cause any problems with the operation of the windows.
Tint usally gets harder to take off the longer it stays on the car, if it only been on there a few months it should not be that hard to remove. I have had to remove tint before after just a couple months to get a ticket thrown out. Better to pay 50 bucks to have the front windows retinted then pay 150 for a tint ticket. If you go this route and remove the tint be very careful on the back window. The defroster can be damaged in the process!
Also if you want just a black tint you are getting Bent over paying $250, I will not pay over 100-150 for standard black tint and that's with a lifetime guarantee and lumar tint.

Guys, I will take pics when I can. It is winter here in NY and if it's not snowing, it is cloudy. The next time it's sunny out I will take a couple of pics. The green tinge is only noticable when it's sunny out and the car/windows are clean.
But if you put a black car with black tint right next my car it is quite obvious regardless of the weather conditions or if the cars are clean or not.
