Default Spark Plugs for a 2000 GS400?

I searched through about 10 pages and didn't find anything. I know I've seen a thread or two regarding this...but...I can't find what I'm looking for.

My car has 45,000 on it and since I have it in storage, I might as well do them now before spring.

Which kind of plugs do you guys recommend?

Gap?

I would think you would know the answer McKrevice. Why Denso Iridiums of course. Try densoproducts.com. Get the long life's SK20R11 .035" is oem gap.

Not sure if this is true, but from what I understand, the reason to get the more expensive plugs is not for performance but for long life. Especially in cars where the engine is sideways and doing plugs is a total bish. That way you only have to do them every 50,000+ miles as opposed to a copper plug that may need to be changed in half that time. Am I correct?

It appears that these plugs are pretty simple to do, so the long life is not really important to me, and I know that plugs give very little hp if any, so performance is not what I am going for.

I have always used an Autolite copper plug in all of my cars.

Input?

Autolite's are garbage especially in a Jap car, stick with the oem Denso's. And you are correct changing plugs is not that easy on these cars and the long life Iridiums are cheaper than the regulars and are what comes stock in the car. They are due every 60k.

if you go with the iridiums, you don't gap them...you'll break it. I use NGK iradiums with a colder rating...but that's cause of my supercharger.

i just NGK-R that you can get from autozone/advance auto for $2.00each. i think that they work great. very smooth and good on gas milage.

I used to have iradium plugs and they seriously burn alot more gas. I have a lead foot, so a slower burning plug is my cure to the high gas prices

If you search you will find write ups on the Torque Master (TM) plugs for our cars.. There supposed to be pretty good.. I'd stick with stocks or the TM's

I've been reading up on what to use as well for my upcoming service. The Torque Masters seem to have very good reviews. I just hope Carson brings the GB back before I order some.

I can't find that -R series of plugs. Does that stand for NGK-Race?

Can't get these Denso's anywhere near me, but the Autozone has NGK's....this style right here...for 7.00 per plug

http://www.amazon.com/NGK-BKR6EIX-11.../dp/B000BYGK0E

Pending that the gap is .035, will this be comparable to the Denso plugs?
