Default What's the biggest size wheels I can put in 01 gs300?

I currently have an 01 Gs300 with l-tuned suspension and 18 inch wheels. Is that the biggest I can go without touching the suspension and without fender cutting? I'm new here and don't know a ton about wheel size compatibilty. I know this is probably an easy question for some of you.

Also if I can go bigger, what size tires would I use?

I'm not looking to make expensive mods to suspension or hurt the ride quality. Even with the 18s the ride isn't luxury. I wouldn't want the tires crashing against the fenders of course.

Thought I'd mention I have an l-tuned spoiler. I like the look and woudnt want to pay to remove and have to fix up the trunk. I know VIP looks nice without a spoiler so I guess I'm looking for a more sporty look or something that still looks good with a spoiler.

then you probably arent going to want bigger wheels. the bigger you go, the more ride quality that you lose.

If your not looking to sacrifice your ride quality, then stick with your 18s.

So even 19s or 20s would be a big decline in ride quality vs 18s?

i have 19 x 9 and 19 x 10 on my gs
255/35/19 front
285/30/19 rear (really i need 295/30/19)

i will probably go bigger because my friend told me the 19's look small and now everytime i look at the car they look small to me now. probably end up with 20's.

yes. the bigger the wheel, the smaller your sidewall becomes and the less comfortable the ride is.

Maybe go lower. bigger wheels/tires will hurt your ride, period.

no pain no gain man! if you want the luxury comfort i would say, stick with your 18s or run stock 16s.

With the proper tire 19's will ride just fine.. I wouldn't go bigger than 20'' although some members have 21's and they look so good.. It also depends what you want your car for, Show, DD, etc..

How does your ride feel with your 19's? I did buy my GS for the comfort, but I do need more pimp factor
