Well, the stock sub is 10"... so I feel pretty confident I can field this one for the entire community.
No. Nobody has put in an 8" JL sub.
Many members have replaced it with 10" subs of their particular taste. Including, upgrading the stock sub to 12", building enclosures around the 10" hole, or putting a "free-air" IB sub in there. Either route you choose, upgrading the amp is a good idea also while you're at it.
