Default Vibration in rear when moving from startoff....

Hi

As noted in the title, this vibration only occurs when moving from a stationery position. I can feel it in the gear selector and it feels like the right rear tire (or area) is vibrating as well. Anyone have an idea what may be taking place here.

Thanks

No wet road at all. It happens all the time and the road is dry. If i go real easy on the take off.....the feeling is muted and seemingly does not exist. But under normal driving conditions, there is a vibration that comes from the rear right up to the shifter......

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something similar happened to me awhile back and it was dude to bad tire. The tire was defective and one area of the tire worn out alot more than the rest of the tire.

Differential will be expensive if you buy it new and go to the dealership for install.

I bet its at least 700 new for the diff without the 3 hours of labor they're going to charge.

If his tires weren't balanced, the vibration wouldn't go away.

Where did the op say it went away? I would just have them looked at first before exploring new diff. Eliminate the cheaper causes first.
Solo.. do you feel it in the gas pedal too?

It's definitely not the tires. Everything is balanced. No vibration in the pedals at all. Maybe to describe it better, when moving off it feels as if the right rear wheel is going over some micro speed bumps (just that tire)....and then there is a mild vibration as well in the shifter (you feel it here when hand is resting on it)

I would NOT buy a new diff from a dealer. He was asking how much it would cost to replace the diff. I'm giving him worst case.
