intro: new kid on the block!
hello all, my name is jake and im looking into purchasing a 2nd gen gs...
i have done some digging and so far i havent found any common issues to look for when purchasing used, could i have missed a common problem thread?
ive always had my eye on these, but ive had some unfinished business with 92 accords lol...so it diverted my time and money until now.
just the other day i woke up and thought to myself "im done, time for the gs." and so my journey has begun!
thanks for any info and im sorry if i missed a thread that is a complete face palm.
i look forward to learning, meeting, and talking with anyone patient enough to help the noobie along.
thanks again, jake.
P.S. here is a few pics of my current project...which its quite obvious it wasnt even close to done lol. you should see quite clear why im ready to "grow up"
h22 swapped and converted to 5spd for anyone who cares

the gs will have GS JERK for sure!
I dont know how often, but I'm sure that if stock, they are fine and its the lowering that kills them (someone will have to confirm that) we have a thread with pretty much EVERY DIY on there. I just did all my joints a couple weeks ago and the ***** are REALLY easy:

balljoints usually wear out more on GS400 versus GS300 due to weight of motor. they usually start to wear (have excessive end play) around 90k miles & up. but they will wear out sooner if vehicle have bigger rims/tires, lowered & depending on driving habbits. i've replaced a lot here at work, but this should not deter your choice when selecting your ride. GS over all is solid. powertrain is reliable. easy to maintain & work on.

thanks for the welcome and the info gents!
im planning on keeping it semi stock for now...i know it will change once i have it lol.
im looking at either megan coilovers or d2 coilovers. i like the d2 because they are teflon coated and as we all know winter tears **** up...so some protection is always good.
wheel choice is up in the air, but probably some jdm wheels and get them refinished..im not a blingy type person so ill keep it simple.
