Default HID Colour Guide: 2nd Gen GS

I searched the forum to look for a designated thread that had pictures of HID's in our cars and I didn't find much. So I thought this would be a good idea for anyone who is considering either upgrading to HID's or replacing their stock HID's like I just did a week ago. I decided to stick with Philips 4300k, the stock colour but I was a disappointed because they're more yellowish white than the stock Philips OEM 4300k's. My mechanic told me the new bulbs will colour shift to a pure white but if I had known this I probably would have went with 6000k. I decided to take a pic and post it to show what they look like so feel free to post pictures of your HID's and the manufacturer so that it's easier for people to decide on what colour to buy.

Philips 4300k before colour shift

Other pics posted from the site:

I went with 5K all around (lows, highs, fogs). Pure white. Friends have told me that it gives off a bluish hue from a distance. I plan on upgrading to 6K soon to give my headlights and fogs a more... crystal-ish look. I'll post some pictures some time in the near future of my current set up.

Different brands tend to have different colors between the temperatures that the bulbs burn at. For example, ive seen purple sold that claim to be any were from 10K-14K

From my experience 14000k is a pink/purple color and the yellow is 3000k.

If u are going w/ 4300k go with philips 85221+ as it doesn't color shift so u get better visibility.
