Default pothole vs. lowenhart BR5

SO I just finished laying primer on my trunk this weekend, and super excited with the turn out. Just really enjoying it. So we took a ride up in to town to run some errands and give the GS a well deserved bath. Sitting in traffic at a light, we started moving and were going about 20 miles an hour, then it came out of nowhere! It was massive, from all the rain we've had here in AZ. I knew something was bent or cracked. Pulled into the Sam's club parking lot to assess the damage and took the front wheel off, thinking I was going to just put the stock spare on. What an idiot, doesn't fit very well over the TT brakes! So I tried to put the rear on the front and replace the rear with the spare. Yeah well the 10 inch rear hits the knuckle!

So now I've had the wheels off like six times, all with the stupid scissor jack! ugh. All to just put the wheels back on and baby it all the way home. what a pain in the a**.

Yea pain in the ***! Yes use *** cause its not censored! LoL We've got those road problems too cause of the rain here in Cali, I've had a few close calls myself, but my rims are solid... I think I do more damage to the road when I hit a pothole than it does to the rim and yea, scissor jacks suck major POO!!! good luck with the fix...

Just remembered... doesnt hurt to try/begin getting your local municipal to pay for it Dont know about Arizona, but I know here the city HAS to pick up the tab for not having their streets up to par get a pic of the hole before it gets patched up. If its bad enough, they have no fight however I know it takes a while to get the tab taken care of. but definitely worth the try.

True, here in San Diego our roads are poop and the city has picked up many tabs. The stimulus plan is supposed to fix many of them, but I keep hitting new ones.....hhhhmmmmm

Sorry bout the rims, I used to live in PHX, not sure if thats where you are. But if so you should come here, the roads are way way worse.
