so i just got back from getting my car lowered (tanabe df springs cut and kyb struts) and i am on stock 16's. the car is too low the whole drive home my under carriage cover was scraping. what can i do to either make it a lil higher or make it so the cover doesn't scrape. I don't want to take the cover off though. My mechanic told me to come back tomorrow and he could raise it up a little. I don't know how, but he said he could, and that he has done it before on other cars. What should i do.
HolY S... yeah i dont think you can do anything if you dont have adjustables shocks... maybe get like a bump stopper or something like that... Looks like if you were on airbags.
i think your problems are that you cut the springs. lol i'm not really sure how you raise a car with cut springs since nothing is adjustable. put really big wheels on it to raise it? or just go with some coilovers?
yea but im trying to keep the setup i have since the struts are brand new... and i bought the springs off of s14o12ty37
this is a pic on his car.. doesnt look that low.. i don't understand
Wow dude! thats not cool. i mean it looks cool but its lyk wow, super low. u def could use some bigger rims. but it is a nice drop. really looks like its on air tho. u need sum coilovers. i have seen this thing thats adjustable for ppl who have springs. look it up on eBay.
^^^yea i like the look alot and i dont really care driving like this, its just the annoying sound of the damn cover scraping. I don't have a clue on what to search on ebay lol...
bigger wheels= more ground clearence..hes on 17's
I suggest finding some bigger wheels in the mean time until u can figure something out..
At LEAST 17's ...and up..
