Default Both driver's side brake lights out - replaced bulbs

So the brake light indicator came on in my 02 GS300 and I replaced one of the bulbs which didn't seem to help at all. Looked at the old bulb that I pulled out and the filaments still seem to be intact. I tried searching the forum but all i found was 'check the 3rd brake light' which isn't my problem. Does anyone know where the wiring runs or other potential problems? I quickly looked through the fuses and didn't see any that mentioned a specific side or just brake lights?? Any help would be appreciated!

did you actually have someone step on the brake pedal to see if any lights were out?

seems like you haven't checked the signal bulb...i'd check that. Or even the little 194 wedge that's kind of a running light.

Yes I've had someone step on the brake peddle. I know which bulbs aren't 'working' but its not the bulbs themselves, it's something else.

loose wire going into the connector? that's pretty weird.

Yes stock tails, haven't seen anything but the wires on the connectors and they look fine.
