SOARISTO, i am sorry to have to ask you to tell us more about everything but your knowladge seems to be amazing compared to us guys here in North America, im sure its easy for you to belive that it is very hard to us to have a good understanding of hte Japanese way of tuning, and do it well, even though we all want to so badly.

You have inspired me as well as others im sure on this web page to make their cars like yours.

If you could please tell us more about your filter on the intake and the intake manifold i would really appreciate it, i dont understand fully how it works or what it is for. Thank you

Also, is your car running rich on fuel at high RPM? I watched your dyno video and a lot of black smoke came out at high RPM. Is this just a high-power tune from japan?

Smile My secret pleasure

Hello, GS pilots!!

I am enjoying to communicate with you, very!!

I am working in one of the biggest communication carrier in Japan. On a weekday, I am very busy from 9:00 to over midnight. But, on a holiday, I will change into a craftsman.

And I have another hobby,

You will think that I am very young, but I am 30 years old.

It is a racing cart. It is difficult to drive it well, but it is very fun as well as GS!!

Are you pointing at these DIYs?

No, No, No!! These are my junk DIYs, not way of Japanese tuning.

You must never do these DIYs, Never!! Your GS will be carried by an ambulance, like this!!
http://www7.plala.or.jp/soaristo/page/image/top02.jpg

It is an ion filter. These small gray ***** are tourmaline stones. It is said that tourmaline stone ionizes substances.

Its effect is as follows.

1. The air that come from the intake touches the stones.
2. These stones ionize the air. (improve combustibility of the air)
3. The ionized air burns violently in a cylinder.

Therefore, it is said that it improve mileage and torque at low rpm.

In fact, is seems like mileage is improved between 0.2km/L to 0.5km/L, and I feel it powerful. But it is not proved scientifically.

However, there is a possibility that causes fatal damage to your engine in this DIY. So, You must not do, never!!

I will explain about the black smoke in the next time. See you!!

Smile The Advantage of BBS Wheel

Hello, GS pilots!!

To: Richie.

> What is the wheel size of the BBS on your car and the tire size?

I thank a question from you.
I like the Le Mans. So, I selected (unified) the brand of the Le Mans.

[Wheel]
BBS LM DSK-P Tuner Program
F: 9.0×19 offset +38 (LM118)
R: 10.0×19 offset +40 (LM119)

[Tire]
DUNLOP LE MANS LM701
F: 245/35ZR19
R: 275/30ZR19

[Total Weight]
F: 23.4kg (+1.9kg)
R: 24.4kg (+2.9kg)

In spite of its fatness (low profile), its weight hardly changes as it was. It is the advantage of BBS wheel!!

Refer my DIY as,
http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ge8w-ngk.../mente201.html

See you!!

Has anyone tried this conversion yet?

I think this will look awesome on my Black '01 GS300.

In the DIY they remove the amber filter in the turn signal. Are there rules in the US that the turn signal must be amber? or can we just use an amber turn signal bulb?

Thanks.
