Default To those who have taken off their TTE lip

I was wondering if you were able to remove it cleanly including the black adhesive that came along. Did it just break off cleanly? or with some elbow grease? or was it an involved process?

I'm just wondering what my bumper will look like once it off.

Thanks.

Ugh I hate to say it but I think you may have a lot of residue left, id think to get it off you'd have to sand down the stock bumper in certain spots (the epoxy)

If you use dental floss or something of the like, you can drag it under the lip to remove the tape (not sure how its attached) but it can work. As for adhesive, some elbow grease will take it off. I've had to take it off a lot of times, using a thumb over to rub it off.

That's a good one sir.....U beat me too it!

U can also use fishing string. I believe dental floss would be too weak for that. GL

You won't have trouble finding a buyer at all. This is a pretty well sought after piece, just look at all the posts about it already in your thread, heheh. Back on topic, it would be advisable to heat up the area with a hair dryer to make the adhesive more pliable and easier to remove the lip from the bumper. Just be careful not to let it get too hot, as it might deform the area. As far as removing the adhesive itself, Goo Gone might work, but test it first on a small portion.
