Default tranny flush Q's?

I plan to to have my ind. mechanic to my tranny flush with Toyota Type IV fluid.

I'm at 107K and needing to flush tranny fluid.....how many qts do I need?

Does it have a cleanable filter or do I need to replace it?

Does it matter what type machine my mechanic uses to do the flush?

Thanks in advance.

^ I agree.. dont flush.. Just change the fluid with a new filter. Another thing I would do is use Amsoil instead of the toyota type IV. Amsoil is probably the best fluid on the market.

I have drained and refilled my tranny 2x (w/n 1 week of driving). I am by no means mechanical, but was able to complete this procedure with ease. DIY is a great way to save money and very satisfying to get something done yourself. Also made a considerable difference in my car's shifting.

Why do you think its the best...because that is what the Amsoil advertisements say?

Use the Toyota fluid.
