Man i am getting more and more surprised about this car each day. So far i've beaten an 06 mustang gt, g37 sedan, and charger rt. i love the look on their faces when they see a lexus beating them. Just thought you guys would like this. Oh And all these were on a closed course.

really? amazing! the gs is heavy, I'm shock that the car is really that fast! i can't wait to get my own gs! so TL the gs400 is worth every penny? I'm worry, if i get gs300 I will miss the power! hey, which one is faster, the gs400 or sc400?

Those are some pretty quick cars to beat, you must be good at launching!

Oh, FYI I think there's a racing forum somewhere out there meant for sharing kill stories, but either way, good to hear!

Thanks alot for the support guys! I was very surprised how quick this car is especially 80+. Can't wait to mod more!

Stormrider, This car is worth every penny. I waited about 6 months until i found the exact one i wanted. Make sure you have patience, so you can get the car you really want. I would recommend the gs400 over the 300 because its obviously more power and a 2jz swap was outta the question for me. And im not sure if a gs400 is faster than a sc400 stock for stock. But im pretty sure mine would pull on a stock sc400.

question, why the gs400 is faster than the sc400? aren't they share the same engine? is the gs lighter than sc?

Interesting.. My friend's dad has the G37 Sedan, and it's pretty fast. We've never run it... But that's because I always thought I'd get beat . However I have raced the new TL's, not even the AWD one, and we were tied all the way to 100. And then we both let off. So... Maybe my car is losing power somewhere.

Good Job TL. Even tho they're ancient and versatile, I hate mustangs. So any stang kills are music to my ears... Wait until you see the look on the guys face who's losing in the 540i----hilarious. GS' are worth every penny and mods just have you itching to drive any and everywhere....Keep it up.

I've driven all 3 of those cars, with the exception of the Mustang being an 05, but I don't think there is too much of a difference...and they are all faster than my GS400.

My car barely edged out a 99-04 TL from a dig to 50mph.

I suppose I should have asked....you go from a dig or from a roll?

I raced it from 60-100, I know they have a bunch of power down low but the GS has a bunch up top. From a dig it probably would of beaten me.

With the mustang i raced from both a dig and from a roll. My friend just got a new clutch so he couldnt launch it yet maybe thats why i beat him but i was ahead by a 1/2 car length at 80mph. Then from a 30mph roll we were about dead even to 60 then i started to gain on him.

Stock for stock...the GS400 is faster (slightly) than the SC400. Fact, ask SC400 drivers.

There is NO reason why a V8 Lexus should be BARELY beating a '99-'04 TL...LOL!!!! McKrevice, your GS must be not running right whether you know it or not.

Stormrider...get a GS4XX over the GS300. However, if you are planning on doing HEAVY modding ($10K+) such as with turbos and 2JZ swaps then go with the GS300. If anything less go with the GS4XX.

To the OP, nice races and I believe you! The '06 mustang gt isn't fast at all, I had a run in with a g37 COUPE (not sedan) and I out ran him pretty damn good by several cars on the highway (but I'm modded), and charger rt...never raced one but I had a run-in with it's big brother the charger SRT8 and was neck and neck with it (but again, I'm modded). Your races are very believable as long as your car is running in top shape.
