Default OEM NON-HID to OEM HID:

Hi all,

I have a 2000 GS 300 with halogen headlights and bought a set of OEM GS HID headlights. I'm going to get a HID kit, what type of bulbs do I need and also how complicated is the re-wire from my halogen plugs to the OEM Hid type bulb plug?

Thanks in advance......

the plug and play is very easy to do 20mins tops, the bulb size is D2R, do a search on the auto leveling for the hid's. not sure if the P/P hids kits come with d2r's bulbs though

Type of bulb is determined on what kind of look you want.

you will not be able to use the oem autoleveling feature on the hid assembly, so your best bet is to actually swap the HID bowl onto your non-hid assembly.

As for wiring, if you're going with a legit d2r bulb, you will need one of these:

if you're going with aftermarket bulbs, then the kit should be plug and play with your oem wiring.

here is what you need to do it right, or these.. Then you need this

The ballast has a 9006 plug, so you will not need a harness adapter, and the bulb is the birhgtest best d2r 35w you can get.
