Just wait out for the right one bro. I almost jumped on a bunch of deals before i found the one that really was perfect for me. If hes so eager to get rid of it and finance and whatever especially at that high of mileage somethings wrong. Just keep searching. I've been in your posistion before its tough. The right one will come.

Take the time and save up for the perfect car. Cash is always king. Also you may want to take the SC to carmax just to get an idea what kind of cash deal they are willing to give you. Who knows, you might be able to save enough and get to have both . There are a lot of folks on here that have have both.

 

thing is, its my SECOND SC300.. the first one, i had nothing but problems with, due to neglect by the dealership that had it. This one on the otherhand, seems fine.. but its still the same car i had before.

now, im not gonna lie... i said i *wanted* the gold color.. but THIS is the one i REALLY want. lolz. hey, i can dream dammit!

ME: wait.. hang on a second... i just ran the book values for our cars. KBB says my SC, in FAIR condition, is worth 3700... yours, in Excellent condition, is worth $5885. 5885-3000 for the SC is 2885. 2885/18 is 192.... $200/mth sounds about right... discussed it with my clublexus members, and they dont think its a good deal, and the more i think about it, nor do I. I hope something works out for you. thanks anyways, and sorry to have wasted your time. GL!

HIM: BTW, you may want to compare apples to apples because there are a few SC300 with 170K miles on CL for $1,900.00!
Search Sc300 and go to these dates: Feb 18th and Jan 28th- And these do not even have any body damage!!! And if you search GS400, a 1998 is selling for $6,500.00 and a 1999 for $7,900.00 so screw KBB and your Lexus Club because price is determined by the market, what stuff sells for, and what people will pay for it. Good luck anyway but please do not waste anymore of my time!!!!!

WOW. this guy is more stupid than i thought! i woke up to a text this morning that said "i'll give you 2500$ for it" from him. the man must be either DENSE, or a con artist. hes got something up his sleeve. he left me a very strange VM yesterday about someone buying my car once it was fixed... he doesnt even HAVE my car yet... i know FOR A FACT, that the SC300 is in fairly high demand down here... much higher than the GS. alot of people want the lexus coupe, more than a 4door. probably because there are GS3's everywhere you look LOL.

SIDE NOTE: he originally had this car up on CL listed as 125/wk for RENT... so hes in it to make money. I sent him a text back that said, if you want my car so bad, lets straight up trade... im sure you'll make more money renting the SC out than you will the GS... obviously, he has yet to reply.
