$500?! I'd look around dude... I was quoted $300 to do a tub job up front so I can lay out my car with the bags... $500 sounds pretty darn high!

After endlessly searching for someone to swap trunk lids, I finally had a shop weld the holes and repaint the trunk lid. I had other stuff done to the car (fix paint front fender, paint and mount TTE lip) at the same time so I forget the exact breakdown cost of having this done but I think it was around $350 for me. I think the JB Weld may work as it is great stuff (used it to fix my retro and my sister's side mirror that broke off), but I had spoiler holes welded just for peace of mind.

^^That was a great price to get what you wanted done I think someone quoted me to paint a body kit and install it at $1000, but you either bite the cost if you want it professionally done and you will have that piece of mind. Or you could just leave it alone I'm sure you have other things to worry about right now...

In retrospect, I do believe I received a great deal for the labor that was put in.

Get a Grabit. http://www.aldencorporation.com/grabit/

Then soak the screw for a few days with penetrating oil.
