PC is an acronym for PolyCarbonate. And molds aren't cheap, which is the issue.

Thats basically what I've been looking for is a company willing to manufacture them in P.C., however in order to approach any company I need a cad file outlining what I need. I'm not familiar with CAD so I need to depend on my friend in order to make the file. He was in the process of moving for the last few months so he has had no time. Essentially within the next month I hope that he is able to finish the file so I can submit it for a quote. I have no idea how much mtparker is looking to charge for making the mold but I would be interested in knowing as to compare pricing, as well as thickness of material used. As foglights can and do get hit by rocks material needs to be thicker than usual in order to ensure that it will stand up to normal wear and tear.

Why not play around with some lexan yourself. They sell it at home depot and lowes. Hell, you could just cut a piece to cover it with and glue it back on with windshield adhesive. If you want to get creative, you can heat it in your oven, and mold it to the right shape yourself. I've been thinking about doing it to mine, since one is cracked.

If you were to follow his plan. You could take the lens off your existing fog, heat the lexan and when it is moldable push the foglight through the lexan and let it take the shape of it. Its just an idea or the start of 1..

I dont see anyway that Acrylic will stand up to the daily dose of damage that a fog light goes through. Acrylic is usually on 1/8" thick. I knew about these guys long ago, however if they can make it in thicker dimensions and out of pc or lexan than its worth looking into.
