Need to buy a new battery so i went out to my car to check my current battery and the sticker on the front says the CCA@0 F is 550. Then i went to tirerack to look up batteries but the only lightweight battery (braille) that produced this much CCA was

the heaviest battery at 21 lbs on the site, does anyone know the recommended battery stats for a GS3. also will i be okay with a lighter battery with less power? any advice helps guys, thanks

It is only a battery. Just go to your local auto part store and they can look up what brand they carry that would fit your car. You can buy any battery just make sure it fit your OEM battery bracket. The store will let you know. Make sure when you install it the battery is not too small and lose.
You also can check out autozone.com for a crossrefrence. It is ok to buy a battery with a greater CCA (cold cranking Amps) than 550. I have a yellow top optima with 750 CCA. You dont need to put out alot of $$$ if it is only use for regular driveing condition. If that is the case I recomend buying one with the longest warranty. Most are 3 years warranty standar.
