Default AWD or RWD

Still looking for a GS, so far I have been only looking at the RWD, since I live in Texas no worry about snow. With price not being an issue which would you rather have, a 2007 gs350 RWD or a 2007 gs350 AWD?

I would go with RWD if there were no weather concerns. RWD is more fun and faster. AWD is slower, more parts that can possibly break, and isn't necessary if there's isn't snow. Plus, TX doesn't have windy, mountainous roads where AWD would come in to play.

Just my $.02

I'm not sure if the AWD one would cost more or hold it's value more however it would more or less open you up to more probability of fixing it and your tires might wear out faster with the AWD ride this is what most people who have AWD vehicles complain about..$ .02

first off, this is the 2nd gen subforum, this should be in the 3rd. 2nd off, get the rwd, i just sold my awd to get a 2nd gen, and i really wish i would have gotten the rwd. do some research on the 3rd gen forum.

I think AWD adds a few unwanted pounds to the GS.. I've always had RWD cars but if i lived up north AWD would be an option

no point in having awd if you're in TX. not sure what the cost savings would be but why pay for something you don't need?

I have lived in Mn all my life which gets horrible amounts of snow. There is no need for AWD, just a good set of snow tires. I would get AWD for the road race/auto-x courses though. Damn STi's beat me by fractions of a second every single time.

So...RWD.

How is this a even question? AWD isn't needed, its more expensive, slows the car down, drops gas mileage...and again, isn't needed. Hold your hand up, fingers together, palm out, and SLAP yourself in the back of the head, please.
