How to get to ecu#2?
I want to check some voltages on body ecu #2 (the one behind the driver's kick panel). Do I need to remove the carpet?

It's a PAIN IN THE ***! I've had to do it on my car. The carpet has to come out, then you have to remove all of the under dash assembly on the driver side area. After that, remove the parking brake assembly(biggest PITA out of the whole job). Once that's done, pull back the carpet and then unclip all of the connectors on the fuse junction. Then theres 2-3 bolts/nuts 10mm you have to remove. Then there are a few sets of tabs/clips you have to undo(also a big PITA because you have very little room to work in there). Once that's out you have to pull like hell on the fuse junction assembly and then there is a black clip holding the body ecu on you have to undo. The fuse junction I'm referring to is the fuse and relay assembly thing behind the carpet. The body ecu is behind the fuse junction! After that's done, you have to fish around behind the fuse junction and wiggle out the body ecu. Replace in reverse order lol.
It's seriously a pain in the ***, but it's also not something that is commonly replaced nor should it go out for no reason. The only reason that it will burn out is if you are messing with the wiring in the car and accidentally short something out. One of the top few worse things I've ever had to do on this car. I would charge a minimum of $200-300 to do the replacement(I'm sure a shop would charge more...if they offer to do it for less than that then jump on it asap unless you want to attempt to DIY the job). It took me over 2 hours to do it, and I know my way around this car very well.
