Default Planning on buying a GS300.

So i'm planning on buying a Lexus GS300 '98-'05 in the next few months and i'd just like some ideas from people who have already modded/worked on a Lexus and know what looks nice. Right now all I know is that I want it pearl white and i'm thinking about VIPing it out? I really like all the VIP stuff.

Pictures and info of your VIP'd Lexus' would he helpful.

Thanks!

Aye at first I was gonna go with black, but after seeing so many pearl white ones and seeing how sexy it looked I was like 'I gotta get it in pearl white.' It just makes it look so much classier.

I'm planning on it. After seeing all the VIP stuff on Junction Produce and seeing a few VIP'd Lexus' I fell in love and wanted my car to be like that, lol.

Thank you. Glad to be here.

This opinion may not be what you are looking for but it's free : ). The 400 only gets 2 city/1 hwy mpg worse than the 300 (fueleconomy dot gov). Many that own 300's wished they had a 400 after driving a friends. It's not just the extra HP but down low torque. If you want to go turbo then the 300 is easier but then that involves another opinion.

I know there are alot of happy 300 owners so if you are one please, this isn't anything against the 300 or oh so mighty JZ. It's about n/a drivabilty and torque.

Well i'm not really a car savvy guy, so if you could kind of further explain what you mean by the 'torque' and all that'd be great.

I appreciate the info guys!

It's a hard one to explain. Engines produce torque. On a naturally aspirated engine, more displacement means more torque. More torque not only gives better acceleration but a larger engine will have a broader power band. If you had two cars of equal weight (GS) with a 2 liter 8 cylinder engine with 300 HP. It would not be nearly as quick or driveable as a 4 liter 8 cylinder engine with 300 hp as the 2.0 would have much less torque. Not to say the larger engined car would be much faster it would just have power over a broader rpm range. Drive both, a 300 and 400. Take off from a light to about 40 mph with 3/4 throttle. Drive it how you would drive it if were yours. Don't thrash it but accelerate a few times in both.
