Apparently this is caused from the use of the wheel cleaner which contains some sort of acid. This eats away the anodized layer of clear coat on the lips and thats why they seem so hazy.. happened to all four of my rims and called work... You should always use soap and water... nothing can help solve this except for completely taking off that layer but of course, you will have to deal with polishing the lips on a regular basis to maintain that shine...

aww man sorry to hear, this happend to you, let me guess. either you used a "rim cleaner" or you brought it to a carwash. my friend did this. the solution of the cleaning product is eating the clear coat. theres no way of removing it unless removing the clearcoat itself and leaving it raw or reclearing. i would try 1000/ then 2000 grit paper, then polish and a mothers powerball. GL on the fix bro.

Yes, but clear coat won't have the same shine as the original finish. The bright clean anodize protects the wheel and still has a mirror finish. I know one wheel shop in SoCal that can redo the clear anodize but it's pretty expensive.
