Anyone ever try any of these? Can you tell a difference?

Yes I have tried them and yes you can tell a huge difference. That difference is not for the better . Unfortunately, you do get what you pay for, but even on that scale these are just gawd awful. These are not true HID bulbs, just HID color. HID melts a salt inside of the bulb to create light, whereas a normal halogen bulb heats a filament. In other words these bulbs are like thomas edison's first bulb compared to modern day technology (real HID's). If you really want to wake up your headlights get a real HID kit either from a sponsor on the forum or from ddmtuning.com. Real HID kits (with the balasts) will significantly increase the light output, and can be done for less than $100. Many will recommend a retrofit of a hid reflector into your current headlights, but this can be extremely expensive ~1000 for a proper job, and can take a long time to do. Either way I would suggest buy a real HID kit now, trust me you wont regret it.

Very good info. there from BigC. Additionally, if you want high quality bulbs, look for Philips brand. This is the brand used in most OEM applications for HID headlights and they are the best.

^^ good point. You could also just get some fresh high quality phillips or sylvania halogen bulbs; however, these will not have the fun factor of truly improving your lights over stock.

If you are gonna stick with halogen and not do a real HID retro, then get some nice PIAA bulbs. They are like $70 but are damn good bulbs. Best non HID you can get.

True. I had PIAAs in my Honda and they were great halogen lights. I had gone through several non-brand name Ebay sets in a few months (burnt out prematurely or color was terrible), then I got fed up and decided to buy the PIAAs. If I did it right the first time, I could have saved $50 and put that towards PIAAs.
