Yesterday I traded my 1999 White GS 300 for a 2002 Black on Black ES 300. I know I down graded but the inside of the ES blew me away. Plus, anytime you can go to a dealer, get a new car, get a lower payment, and get $3500 in your pocket, it's a good deal. Lexus's don't loose value!!! I will post pics tommorow.

Hey that's a great deal. The new ES is VERY nice. It's probably barely any slower than the GS300 and it's VERY refined.

[GS3 = 4dr NA supra
ES3 = A luxurious Camry
/QUOTE]
The ES250 was a tarted up Camry. Subsequently all ES300s have been designed as Lexus and then de-contented to become Camrys.

Congrats on your new ride. If it's what you like, then great.
...But personally, IMHO Iwould be just a bit ticked if I had just put down Lexus size $$$ for a car that looks 99% like a Toyota. I think Toyota corporate did all NEW ES300 owners a dis-service in deciding to make the new ES300 & Camry even more clone like than the previous versions were...I thought that was bad enough.
I am sure your new ES300 is just beautiful and it rides smooth as silk as well as luxurious inside. Enjoy!

getting a new car with cash out the door is nice, but i still like the GS as well. take absolutely no offense, but i somehow like the look of the camry a lot better. just looks damn nice whereas the ES is kinda out there. but you're right, that interior is to die for!

Are we both thinking of the "new" ES300/Camry body style?
Darn hard to tell the two apart except for the badging...
Closest I have ever seen to "clone-cars"
