Default Car starts jerking during acceleration..Help PLEASE!

What does it mean when your car starts jerking during acceleration? It happens maybe around 2-3 times a day. I really hope its not my tranny. Any ideas? I have a 01 Gs300.

timing belt, bad transmission oil... possibly need a complete flush and new fluid. is it a harsh jerk? somewhat like stalling?

Same thing happened to my car and to find out my fuel pump was going out. It would turn on and off and when that happens the car starts to jerk. Finally, it just died on me and I had to replace the pump.

The guy I bought the car from said he already did the flush and timing belt. I checked the tranny fluid and its cherry red. It is somewhat like stalling but not as bad.

If it is the fuel pump. How much did you pay for everything out the door? I checked and its around $300 from Lexus. Did you do the swap yourself or did you go through a shop?

Honestly, I did a trade with my friend who is a mechanic for a detail on his truck. I own a detail shop and he wanted his truck cleaned up. Im not too sure how much he spent but I think its between $175-195 for the pump and of course he did the install.
I spent about $50 detailing his truck tho.

^^^^ haha damn that was a good trade. Wish I had a good friend like that. Did he go through the dealership or somewhere else? Around $200 is a pretty good deal.
