There are a ton of threads on this topic, but here are two that i posted on.

Option 1. Chances of Clearing the factory 2001-up lenses?

Slim to none.

Option 2. Chances of replacing the factory lens with a pre-cleared LED lens?

Good, but will require dremeling out the OEM lens if you wanna do it clean. Not sure how many people will be willing to purchase and destroy an LED Tail set in order to put the lenses on a non-LED set, but it would def cost less than buying a JP set.

Good Luck duby1 if you are doing option 2.

Option 1 is . . . well not an option.

.
I'm doing option 2. i'm posting a thread about it as we speak.

DIY if you have experience in this stuff (e.g. autobody mechanics).

It's doable if you are crafty with a dremel and have the right adhesive to glue it back.

Why not ask an autobody guy (preferable custom) who works with metal to do it?

cause DIY is dont to not pay someone else to do it. Or it wouldnt be called DIY

also, why a metal professional? no metal involved here.
