Interesting discussion. ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I just got my GS300. I had a Prelude before which required valve adjustment every 30K miles. I would do it myself or have a shop do it for me (45min labor).
So I have a couple of questions:
Do the valves on the 2JZ have to be adjusted frequently also?
And why would it be much more difficult on this engine? (I guess you need to remove the throttle body & plenum before you can take off the valve cover)
Thanks

LOL, why you guys giving Brian a hard time. I agree, being that you dont have any engine experience, take it to your mechanic to confirm but be sure to take what you learned from here too (sounds alot smarter... lol). If he is good, he will advise the best route and most economical... Keep us posted and good luck...

not for long, should be in the high 20's this week. i think i got 3-4 more coming and then fri i have 2 things im buying (although i can only recall one of them, right now)
i buy EVERYTHING..........haha
lol, yeah. stop busting my *****. heheh jk. my thought on this was if he didn't know what a intake manifold was, he didn't need to be thinking about doing a valve adjustment or tinkering in the head as he obviously wasn't familiar with the motor. i wasn't attempting to be rude to the guy or anything.
