Yea, that's what i said, but if you look the at it. You will be breaking the OEM just to have the JP look, but you wont get the LED onto the LED housing.
Trust, i have laid in my bed figuring out a way to do it... IF you can. let me know. We can probably work on this project together. I still have the extra stuff.

i broke apart my old 98-00 tail light to remove the amber but i only did so after i purchased my 01+ tails for the hell of it, one side came out good one side had 2 minor cracks, was tempted to do this to the 01+ but now i hear the amber is part of the lens... so how does JP clear out the amber part?

I had an extra pair of 98-00 taillights I was trying to clear it out. So I baked it and got sidetrack and end up leaving it in the oven for over an hr. but luckly it was I left it on 200 preheat. So it wasnt damaged or anything. It was even easier to take apart. So the second taillight i actually timed it took it out exactly an hr and it was still a little tough did want anything to crack so i left it for another 30 min at 250 preheat. It worked with no damage. So maybe leave it to bake a little longer at 225 preheat. Dont take my word on it though. Just an experience I like to share. I think depending on the oven too. So goodluck with the project.....
