If you have installed the Xenon Depot Xtream HID kit 9006 on a GS300 to replace the stock halogen bulbs, please post some pictures and comments. Of particular interest are:
1. Where and How you mount the ballasts.
2. Any problems in installation
3. How satisfy you were
I did spend a lot of time to search, but didn't come up with items #1. Some pictures and guidance would be so appreciated.
Thanks,
Steiner

I didn't install that exact kit, but I did install the HIDExtra kit, who is also a vendor on this forum.
I'll link you to my thread. I did a brief review and I took some pictures of where I mounted the ballasts.
1. You will see in the thread I link you to.
2. No problems, but some areas were hard to get my hands to, especially if the bulb does not fall right into the socket. I had to force them into my low beams and fog lights. High beams, the bulbs went right in, but it was a bit difficult to fit my hand in that small space.
3. I'm extremely satisfied with my lights.
HIDs from HIDXtra
Also, I'm assuming you're going to install this in a non-HID reflector housing. Just make sure you aim them a little lower. You don't want to get glare into the eyes of other drivers. They'll be blinded.

Thank you for your kind help.
At Xenon Depot the kit for GS300 is on sale for $200.00 a kit while you spent only $60.00 for yours. Is it a rip off at Xenon Deport or the extra money would buy you better quality & reliability?

Not a problem.
I'm not sure on the extra quality or reliability as I have had all 3 of my kits for close to 5 months with no problems at all.
I'm not sure what wattage the Xenon Depot kits are, but they may be 55 watt kits and those are considerably more expensive with only about a 15% difference in light output.
Xenon Depot sells trustworthy kits according to many members on this forum, but HIDExtra is just about as widely used.
I don't have relay harnesses or any of that on any of my kits and I've never run into a problem. No flickering or bulbs not turning on. It's been perfect and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

I just visit the HIDEXtra website. I think I will follow your lead. But I didn't see a selection guide on their site. How do you know which kit you will need for a 2001 GS300 with stock Halogen? Is it the 9006 kit?

^ I think the bulbs become blue-ish once they start to burn out.
and stock halogen bulbs on the GS are as follows....... 9006 for low beams and fog lights. The high beams are 9005 on all models IIRC.
